Friends Of The Ontario Public Library
PURPOSE
To maintain an association of persons interested in libraries; to stimulate the use of the library's resources and services; to support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community; and to support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.
ACTIVITIES
- Annual Used Books Sale in September and On-going Used Books Sale in Library
- Book review program "Books at Noon"
- Funding special needs of the Library
- Special programming for children and adults
- Aiding the Library Director and staff as needed
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all and you are invited to join. Annual membership runs from September to September, and can be sustained as an Individual Member @ $10 (willing to work on activities and attend any meetings held), or Patron @ $25. Members are eligible to attend the Annual Meeting, held in April of each year. Members will receive a membership card which will entitle them to free copies, fines, reserves.
